Materials we use

At AxisForm Studio, we select the appropriate material for each construction depending on its use, strength requirements, operating temperature, and desired final result.

We offer everything from general-purpose materials to advanced engineering materials for more demanding applications.

PLA

PLA is one of the most popular materials for 3D printing and is mainly used for decorative items, prototypes, and personalized products.

Characteristics:

  • Very good surface quality

  • High detail

  • Wide variety of colors

  • Ideal for aesthetic applications

  • Suitable for everyday decorative items

Used in products such as keychains, decorations, lithophanes, magnets, and custom items.


PLA-CF

PLA-CF is PLA reinforced with carbon fiber (Carbon Fiber).

Characteristics:

  • Increased rigidity

  • Premium matte appearance

  • Very good dimensional stability

  • High-quality final finish

  • Ideal for prototypes and technical parts


PETG

PETG offers greater strength and elasticity compared to PLA.

Characteristics:

  • High strength

  • Moisture resistance

  • Good mechanical strength

  • Slightly more flexible than PLA

  • Suitable for functional parts


ABS

ABS is a strong engineering plastic used when greater mechanical and thermal resistance is required.

Characteristics:

  • High mechanical strength

  • Good temperature resistance

  • Durable for frequent use

  • Suitable for functional parts

  • Ideal for prototypes and technical applications


ABS-CF

ABS-CF is ABS reinforced with carbon fiber.

Characteristics:

  • Increased rigidity

  • High mechanical strength

  • Good thermal resistance

  • Reduced warping compared to conventional ABS

  • Premium matte surface

  • Suitable for demanding functional parts


ABS-GF

ABS-GF is ABS reinforced with glass fiber (Glass Fiber).

Characteristics:

  • Very good mechanical strength

  • Increased rigidity

  • Good thermal stability

  • High dimensional stability

  • Suitable for industrial and technical applications


ASA

ASA is an engineering material with very good resistance to external conditions.

Characteristics:

  • High resistance to ultraviolet (UV) radiation

  • Weather resistance

  • Good thermal resistance

  • High mechanical strength

  • Ideal for outdoor use

ASA is an excellent choice for parts that will be exposed to the sun or outdoors.


ASA-CF

ASA-CF combines ASA's resistance to external conditions with carbon fiber reinforcement.

Characteristics:

  • High rigidity

  • UV radiation resistance

  • Resistance to external conditions

  • Good thermal resistance

  • High dimensional stability

  • Premium matte appearance

Ideal for outdoor technical parts and high-demand applications.


TPU

TPU is a flexible and elastic material.

Characteristics:

  • High elasticity

  • Impact resistance

  • Bend resistant

  • Does not break easily

  • Suitable for parts requiring flexibility

Used in special applications, protective covers, and custom products.


PA6-CF

PA6-CF is Nylon 6 reinforced with carbon fiber and is intended for demanding mechanical applications.

Characteristics:

  • Very high mechanical strength

  • High rigidity

  • Good temperature resistance

  • Stress resistance

  • Excellent choice for functional parts

  • Suitable for engineering applications

Used when significantly greater strength is required than conventional 3D printing materials.


PPS-CF

PPS-CF is an advanced high-performance engineering material reinforced with carbon fiber.

It is intended for particularly demanding applications where conventional thermoplastics are not sufficient.

Characteristics:

  • Extremely high thermal resistance

  • Very high rigidity

  • High mechanical strength

  • Very good dimensional stability

  • Increased chemical resistance

  • Suitable for specialized industrial applications

PPS-CF is mainly used in high-demand technical parts.


Which material is suitable for my application?

There is no one material that is ideal for all applications.

For each custom build, we choose the appropriate material, taking into account:

  • The use of the product

  • Mechanical stress

  • Operating temperature

  • Exposure to sun and weather conditions

  • Required rigidity or flexibility

  • Moisture resistance

  • The desired final finish

  • The dimensions and geometry of the object
